Our garments are made from good quality natural fibre fabrics (Only wool, cotton and linen are used -- no artificial fibres are acceptable). Fabrics are as close to period as possible.

All uniforms and clothing are made from historically correct patterns. Garments are hand sewn where sewing is seen or where the pattern specifies hand-sewing. All button-holes are hand sewn. Only cotton thread is used and buttons are bone, tin or wood. Every effort is made to make the garment as accurate as possible.

For civilian shirts, please specify preferences in fabric colour and pattern.

Custom items for most eras can be accommodated if requested. If you have a picture or photo of an item, we can generally make it. Please enquire if you have an item you would like but do not see in the catalogue.

SIZING

For all uniforms and clothing, please provide the following measurements:

Neck
Chest
Waist (for civil war trousers the waist is high – around the naval)
Hips
Inside leg
Height

Provide a hat size if you are purchasing head wear.

Do not try to take your own measurements – this does NOT work reliably. Ask someone to measure you. All measurements should be taken so that two fingers fit comfortably under the tape. RETURNS ARE NOT ACCEPTED FOR INCORRECT MEASUREMENT
